GENERAL SANTOS CITY — The five Special Action Committees (SACs) of the

Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) of Sarangani convened their Joint 3rd Quarter Meeting on August 14, 2026, to address emerging peace, security, and development concerns in the province. The meeting brought together key stakeholders from the SACs on Anti Insurgency, Anti-Criminality, Public Safety, Land Conflict Management, and Emergency and Crisis Management.

Discussions centered on operational and resource gaps, emergency preparedness, disaster response, security operations, and information-sharing among concerned agencies. Stakeholders also identified measures to improve communication between security forces and local disaster management units.

As a key outcome, the SACs adopted 17 proposed resolutions for endorsement to the 3rd Quarter PPOC meeting on August 27, 2026. The proposed measures include Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) protocols and equipment support for the Philippine Coast Guard.

The resolutions reflect the collective efforts of SAC members and partner agencies to translate identified gaps and emerging issues into concrete policy recommendations. Through sustained collaboration, the committees contribute to strengthening the province’s peace and order mechanisms while supporting broader development objectives.

The DILG Sarangani Provincial Office, led by OIC Provincial Director Ian Jon S. Clemente, reaffirmed its support for the initiatives, emphasizing the importance of unified action among local government units, security forces, national government agencies, and other stakeholders in promoting a safer and more resilient Sarangani.
