STRENGTHENING LGU DATABASE FOR EVIDENCE-BASED PLANNING : SUPPORT TO COMMUNITY-BASED MONITORING SYSTEM (CBMS)

DESCRIPTION

This initiative aims to enhance the Local Government Unit (LGU) database by strengthening the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS). It focuses on improving data collection, management, and analysis to support evidence-based planning and policy-making. By leveraging accurate and updated local data, LGUs can make informed decisions, optimize resource allocation, and develop targeted programs that address community needs effectively. The project also includes capacity-building efforts to ensure LGUs can sustain and utilize CBMS for long-term development planning.

DESCRIPTION

The Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) is a mandated technical document that the Local Government Code (RA 7160) of 1991 has directed local governments, to “prepare their Comprehensive Land Use Plan and enact them through Zoning Ordinances”. 

The Comprehensive Land Use Plan is a document that encompasses the whole territory of the local government unit. The municipal territory includes municipal land area and municipal waters. No area in the municipality must be left unplanned.
