DESCRIPTION
Disaster-preparedness, response, and resilience” refers to a comprehensive approach to managing disaster risks, encompassing proactive measures taken before a disaster occurs (preparedness), immediate actions to minimize damage and save lives during a disaster (response), and the ability of a community or system to bounce back and recover from a disaster, adapting to future risks and minimizing disruption to normal functioning (resilience).
