DECENTRALIZATION AND LOCAL GOVERNANCE REFORM ADVOCACY PROGRAM

DESCRIPTION

The Decentralization and Local Governance Reform Program is a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing the autonomy and capacity of local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines. By promoting decentralization, the program empowers LGUs to take charge of their governance, ensuring that decision-making processes are more responsive to the unique needs and aspirations of their communities. It focuses on strengthening local institutions, improving service delivery, and fostering participatory governance through capacity-building efforts, policy reforms, and community engagement. By enabling LGUs to exercise greater control over resources and policies, the program enhances accountability, transparency, and citizen participation, ultimately leading to more effective and sustainable local governance.
